Cornubia is a much sought after suburb within the City of Logan. It has been particularly popular with owner-occupiers and has a mix of large residential and rural blocks and new smaller residential subdivisions.
Bordered by Shailer Park and Loganholme, Cornubia sits East of the Highway and is approximately 25 minutes to the Brisbane CBD, 35 minutes to Surfers Paradise, 17 minutes to Redland Bay, or 40 minutes Ipswich CBD.
A factor that makes Cornubia a trendy area is the extensive parkland and nature reserves. The site has natural green corridors and 15 parks in total, including the 196 hectares of Cornubia Forest Park to the South of the suburb. Managed by the National Reserve System, the park has bushwalking and mountain bike riding. There is also the well located Chantilly Park which has Parklands and walking tracks around the Logan River.
There are numerous amenities in the suburb, including the Woolworths Shopping Centre at the Corner of Bryant’s Road and Beenleigh Redland Bay Road containing the supermarket, medical, restaurants, and speciality stores; Cornubia’s location means that the Logan Hyperdome is only a few minutes drive. At 81,000 m2, The Logan Hyperdome Shopping Centre offers more than 214 Stores and other services such as Cinemas, restaurants, and food courts.
The suburb is well serviced for Schools with Shailer Park State School, Carbrook State School, St Matthews School, Kimberley College, Calvary Christian College, and Chisholme Catholic College, all within a short distance giving parents a considerable choice of schooling options.
Cornubia is particularly popular with families, who account for 56% of households in the suburb, with couples representing 31%. Detached housing is the dominant dwelling type representing 94%, with 6% living in semi-detached homes. The area consists of many larger homes, with 64% of houses containing four or more bedrooms and 32% having three bedrooms.
A significant statistic that shows the popularity of the Cornubia area for owner-occupiers is the level of homeowners, with 84% of all homes occupied by owner-residents. 28% of homes are owned outright, with 56% occupied under a mortgage.

Riverakes Golf Course is a 5,600-metre par 70 Golf Course located next to the Logandale estate. The Logandale Estate is a secure private estate with well-kept homes and community facilities.
